Weddings & private events

Eight weddings a year.

We are not trying to grow. Eight is the number at which every couple still gets the principal in the room, on the day, from the first walkthrough to the last car leaving.

Plate 01 — Ceremony, available light, wide. Slot reserved for licensed photography.

Commissions accepted each year. When they are taken, they are taken; we keep no waiting list and we do not add associates to make room.

What a planner is for

A wedding is a construction project that happens to be beautiful.

Nine trades, one afternoon, no rehearsal that resembles the real thing, and a client who has never done it before and will never do it again. Everything that goes wrong on a wedding day goes wrong for ordinary reasons — a delivery window, a power draw, a room that takes ninety minutes to turn and was given forty.

Our work is mostly done months earlier, in spreadsheets nobody will ever see. What you see on the day is the absence of problems, which is a difficult thing to photograph and the only thing worth paying for.

Scope

Three ways in.

Full commission
From engagement to the morning after. Venue search, design direction, every supplier contracted through us, the production schedule, and the day itself run by the principal. Most couples come to us for this.
Design only
For couples with a venue and a coordinator already. We take the visual brief — the palette, the flowers, the paper, the light — and hand over a scheme your existing team can execute without us.
Private events
Anniversaries, milestone birthdays, memorials. Smaller, more personal, and frequently harder than a wedding because the brief is grief or nostalgia rather than celebration.
Plate 03 — Reception, long table, evening. Slot reserved for licensed photography.

Enquiries

We answer every letter, and we say no often.

Not because we are precious about it, but because eight is eight. If the date is taken or the fit is wrong we will tell you within a week, and where we can, we will tell you who to write to instead.
